Things to do in Gouvia
Among the things to do in Gouvia are all the usual and much loved holiday activities – horse rides in the hills, body boarding, banana boats and, of course, enjoying the glorious weather, as well as plenty of thrilling and adventurous excursions, too. Consider the Aqualand water park, a fun and flume-filled adventure park that is sure to puts grins on the whole family’s faces.
On the outskirts of town, just five minutes away from the beach, is an old Venetian shipyard. This in itself is a fascinating place to explore, but if the historical aspect is of no interest, the view of the town and the coastline beyond surely will be.
Just off the coast there is a small island containing nothing other than the Ipapanti Church. From the marina, it makes for a picture perfect view, but it's also the centre of wild celebrations on 17th July and 2nd February, which can make a holiday in Gouvia a very fun affair.
