Things to do in Icmeler
Icmeler is a fabulous place to be if you want to combine an exotic beach break with lots of local day trips. Close by you can find the bright lights and bustling streets of Marmaris and for those wanting to discover more you can head to the Greek hotspot of Rhodes.
With Marmaris just down the road you can take an exciting daytrip to this busy tourist destination. Stroll along the cobbled streets of the old town, indulge in some shopping at the bazaar and admire the beautiful mosques.
The Icmeler beach is picture perfect. Swaying palms and sweet-scented eucalyptus mingle with the salty, sea air and long stretches of sand and shingle are a welcoming retreat. With calm, blue waters you can spend endless hours padding softly across the sand and diving down into the sparkling waters. Even in the more popular months you can still find a quiet spot to call your own where you can truly immerse yourself in the beauty of the glittering Turquoise Coast. The beach is also perfectly placed as a fantastic viewing point for spectacular sunsets. Take up a place on the sandy bay and watch the sun set over the nearby island of Keçi Adasi.
Along the waterfront you'll find a great array of friendly eateries, serving up a mix of the freshest seafood and the finest, most authentic Turkish cuisine. It's also home to a fabulous night life where you'll find trendy bars hidden along the narrow streets and karaoke bars nestled in the heart of the town. Although there are plenty of options, the nightlife scene is generally laid back, so those who are looking for a loud party vibe should head to the nearby town of Marmaris. Expect clubs open all night and plenty of places to enjoy a drink and a dance.
