A little way out of the town, Dim Cave is a fascinating site to explore, with amazing natural rock formations and beautiful stalactites and stalagmites protruding from every surface.
The Sapadere Canyon is an excellent option for a day out, offering stunning scenery and plunging, crystal clear depths of water. Walking through these incredible vistas is a unique experience, but the canyon can also be explored by Jeep or bike, both of which are available to rent. The Manavgat River offers similarly breathtaking scenes, and features an impressive waterfall that is well worth exploring.

With such incredible natural surroundings, holidays in Konakli are never lacking in outdoor action. For the true thrill-seeker, it is possible to swim, ski, scuba-dive and hike all in one day, and head into the picturesque town for some traditionally prepared mezze dishes in the evening. Despite the agricultural background of the town, the locals are unwaveringly welcoming when it comes to travellers, throwing open the doors of their family-run restaurants and bars and serving up the tastiest in traditional cuisine and freshly caught seafood.

Explore Konakli’s natural wonders
On arriving in Konakli, it is hard to know what to do first. The beautiful Taurus Mountain range offers excellent skiing opportunities, or for those who prefer exploring on foot, trekking and hiking routes. For travellers craving a more adventurous holiday, the mountainous tracks and meandering rivers offer rafting and biking activities, perfect for enjoying the views at a more energetic pace.
The beach, of course, is one of the town’s greatest draws, with endless stretches of sand and the sublime Mediterranean Sea in which you can relax, swim, snorkel or scuba-dive, and check out the beautiful marine life. To continue the relaxation, the rolling green hills that surround Konakli host a number of scenic golf courses, perfect for teeing off before heading into the centre for a bite to eat. Konakli is a traditional agricultural town, with much of its income gained from the vibrant fruit and veg markets, sweeping the town’s narrow streets three days a week. Get among the hustle and bustle, but don’t forget, bartering is essential and all part of the fun!
