Orosei at a Glance
About 80 km south of Olbia and 140 km north of Sardinia’s capital of Cagliari, the small town of Orosei is located on the central eastern coast of the island.
The area of Orosei boasts around 14 km of beautiful coastline with picturesque beaches of fine white sand backed by woods of pine trees, together with hidden coves and rocky outlets. With the Tuttavista Mountain as Orosei’s backdrop, 4x4 tours and trekking trips are popular. Due to the town’s setting near the mouth of the Cedrino River, canyoning and kayaking are offered too. Whilst on holiday in Orosei you will discover that the town offers a good range of facilities including a bakery, banks, bars, clothes stores, restaurants, a whole host of water sport activities, a supermarket and souvenir shops. Walking through Orosei you may visit the Baroque Church of St Giacomo and the castle in the centre of town. The beaches are the main attraction for people holidaying in Orosei but there is plenty to do and places to visit which don’t include a beach too!
