Magical Disney World Holidays
Whether you’re introducing the kids to the wonderful world of Disney, or want to revisit your own childhood, visiting Walt Disney World while in Orlando is a must. Home to no fewer than six fun-filled amusement parks that are packed to the brim with thrilling rollercoasters, spectacular shows and of course, a large sprinkling of Disney magic, Disney World holidays will delight and surprise anyone who walks through these gates. So, grab your comfy walking shoes, slap on the sunscreen and be prepared to be transported to a world you never knew existed.
Where to Stay
When booking Disney World holidays, you’ll be overwhelmed with the amount of accommodation options. If you really want to enjoy the Disney experience, staying in one of the Disney hotels is a must. There’s also a hotel to suit every budget, so there really is something for everyone. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t mean you’ll be eating and breathing cartoons, but it will mean that you’ll enjoy fantastic perks such as the Extra Magic Hours and free, regular transport options to the parks themselves.
Stay in the Magic Kingdom or Epcot areas to be able to jump on the monorail line, or check yourself into the Downtown Disney area to have access to boat rides. All Disney resorts are served by their impeccable bus system, which gets you from hotel to theme park in a matter of minutes.
Thrilling Theme Parks
As the original theme park, the Magic Kingdom is a great place to start your Walt Disney World holiday. From walking down the pleasant Main Street U.S.A – Walt Disney’s recreation of his home town – to zipping through space in Tomorrowland or venturing through the Wild West in Frontierland, kids and adults alike will find this theme park really hits the spot. Recently undergoing it’s biggest ever expansion to create the New Fantastyland there are some fantastic immersive experiences to be had; take the kids to meet Ariel in Eric’s castle, enjoy a – albeit non-alcoholic – beer with Gaston in his tavern or dare to venture into the West Wing in the Beast’s Castle. One thing is for sure, there’s a surprise at every turn of holidays to Walt Disney World.
Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are just as fantastic as one another, and you’ll find it difficult to leave. Take a tour of the world and its future in Epcot, go behind the scenes of your favourite movies in Hollywood Studios or get out and about with Disney’s favourite animals in the amazing Animal Kingdom. When it’s time to cool off, you’ll find the Water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach a great place to spend the day, but one of the many hotel pools will also do the trick for those who want to rest their tired feet.
Wining and dining is also on the menu here, whether you want to enjoy themed dinners in fantastic restaurants or want to grab a quick bite to eat and a few cheeky cocktails, each of the main theme parks will cater to your needs. Disney’s Boardwalk and Downtown Disney are the places to head come nightfall, where you’ll find plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs. Be aware that you can reserve restaurants up to 180 days before you arrive, so be sure to book a table or two if you’re celebrating a special occasion during your stay.
